Kia ora e te whānau,Today (Saturday) we received notice that PPTA members covered by the Secondary Teachers’ Collective Agreement have voted to take strike action on the 20th August between the hours of 8.30am and 4.30pm.
My apologies for this late notice but it appears that Health Schools were not included when information was sent out to schools across the country.
As almost all of our teachers are members of PPTA we are unable to provide normal instruction for your child during the strike. Consequently the Southern Health School will be closed for instruction on Wednesday 20th August.
