This week we celebrated the launch of our new brand with key stakeholders across Nelson, Tasman, and Marlborough. We were delighted to host the many professionals we work alongside to support our ākonga in their learning journeys.
Tēnā koutou, talofa lava, and warm greetings
Thank you to everyone who attended and for the ongoing partnership you provide to our kura and ākonga. Please feel free to invite us to speak with your colleagues and wider networks.
The driving force behind our rebrand is to ensure that every student experiencing ill health and missing school knows about Te Kura Waiora ki te Tonga / Southern Health School, and the support available to them and their whānau.
During the event, we also shared the thinking behind our new logo and cultural narrative. The design incorporates a toki, representing courage and resilience, qualities our ākonga demonstrate every day as they navigate their journeys back to health and education. Above this sits the Southern Cross, symbolising guidance and direction. Beneath the stars is a koru, representing growth and new beginnings.
Together, these elements tell a powerful story of a place that supports young people through challenging times and helps guide them toward light, hope, and renewed connection to learning.
Please get in touch to find out more anytime.
Nāku noa,
