Kaiako | Teacher – Blenheim

14 August, 2026

Fixed Term, full-time 1FTTE. Start date soon as possible by negotiated, until 8 December 2026

About the role

This role contributes to the Flexible Learning Access Project, supporting ākonga with complex health needs who access learning programmes on variable days, at variable times and across a range of settings.

We are seeking a passionate and adaptable Kaiako to join our Te Tauihu Team.

This is a fixed-term, full-time (1.0 FTTE) teaching position, commencing as soon as possible by negotiation and ending on 8 December 2026.

The fixed-term appointment is required to provide temporary teaching capacity arising from the medical leave of an existing staff member and increased student demand and roll growth within the Blenheim catchment for the remainder of the 2026 teaching year.

You will deliver personalised, flexible learning programmes across a range of settings including homes, community spaces, and health facilities. This is a highly rewarding role where education, wellbeing, and transition back to school are central to success.

This role requires regular travel within the Blenheim catchment and to other approved locations, including homes, community settings, and health facilities.
