Last week we had our students take a delicious deep dive into the world of fractions by making pizzas!

Whaowhia te kete mātauranga – Fill the basket of knowledge

There’s no better way to learn about equal parts than with gooey cheese and tasty toppings! After following our recipes to create some culinary masterpieces, we put our math skills to the test by carefully slicing our pizzas into six equal parts. It turns out that understanding fractions is a whole lot more fun (and flavourful) when there is pizza involved!

Our classrooms were smelling amazing, and the smiles were even bigger. Who knew math could taste this good?
